Stephanie White needs to be fired. Enough!

You just can’t make this up.

Stephanie White, arguably the worst coach in professional sports history, held a press conference on Saturday for some reason.

White held her presser as Caitlin Clark returned to a hero’s welcome to the University of Iowa and promoted her new basketball shoe — the best-selling women’s shoe in Nike history! The shoe sold out before Caitlin got out of bed!

But White never cared about Caitlin – the generational player that continues to break records on the court and in the sales department.

Clark had the most-watched games in the WNBA season once again.
Caitlin set the WNBA viewership record on CBS, NBC, ESPN, Prime, USA Network, and Ion.

This does not matter to White and the Fever franchise. They are all idiots in an idiot league.

On Saturday, White went before the media in what all Caitlin Clark fans were hoping was her exit interview.
No such luck.

During her interview, White announced that her first priority was securing a contract with Kelsey Mitchell???

Is this woman insane? She has Caitlin Clark on the team and she is focusing on securing a contract with ball-hog Kelsey Mitchell?
What is wrong with this woman?

**IF KELSEY MITCHELL IS STEPHANIE WHITE’S #1 PRIORITY, IS CAITLIN CLARK THE ONE GETTING SQUEEZED OUT OF INDIANA?**

**THE SALARY CAP DOESN’T LIE. DO THE DAMN MATH.**

**INDIANA FEVER FANS… READ BETWEEN THE LINES.**

Stephanie White opens her end-of-season press conference by declaring that Kelsey Mitchell is her **NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.**

And then she REPEATS IT.

GOOD LORD. DOES ANYBODY IN THIS ORGANIZATION UNDERSTAND THE SALARY CAP?

Caitlin Clark is eligible to renegotiate her contract for 2027 under the WNBA’s new EPIC provision. She could command approximately $1.3 MILLION, and frankly, she has earned every penny.

Meanwhile, Indiana already has approximately **$4.57 MILLION COMMITTED TO JUST SEVEN PLAYERS** next season.

Aliyah Boston: $1.47 million.

Lexie Hull: $803,250.

Monique Billings: $800,000.

And those contracts aren’t simply disappearing because Stephanie White wants to keep her favorite scorer.

Now consider Kelsey Mitchell’s $1.4 million salary this season.

Using the current salary-cap framework, retaining Mitchell at that figure, paying Caitlin what she’s eligible to earn, and filling the mandatory roster spots would require roughly **$7.75 MILLION**.

That’s BEFORE retaining Sophie Cunningham or meaningfully upgrading this roster.

Yes, the 2027 cap will increase. Yes, trades and other roster changes are possible.

**BUT SOMEBODY HAD BETTER EXPLAIN HOW THE HELL THIS IS SUPPOSED TO WORK.**

Because Stephanie White just stood in front of the media and made Kelsey Mitchell her unmistakable NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.

TWICE.

And I have a question.

**WHERE THE HELL DOES THAT LEAVE CAITLIN CLARK?**

The generational talent who transformed this franchise, filled arenas, drove television audiences, and helped bring an entirely new generation of fans to the WNBA.

The player Indiana should be doing EVERYTHING in its power to build around.

We’re barely out of the playoffs, and the first thing we’re hearing is another declaration about Kelsey Mitchell.

After an entire season of questionable rotations, stagnant offensive schemes, and an inexplicable reluctance to maximize Caitlin Clark’s greatest strengths, I find that absolutely astonishing.

**STEPHANIE WHITE, THE SALARY CAP DOESN’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR FAVORITES.**

You cannot keep handing out enormous contracts without making difficult basketball and financial decisions.

And the Indiana Fever have already made some incredibly questionable ones.

I want Caitlin Clark in Indiana.

I want her compensated appropriately.

And I want a roster built to WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS around her extraordinary abilities.

**SO BEFORE WE HEAR ONE MORE WORD ABOUT KELSEY MITCHELL BEING THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY, I WANT SOMEBODY TO EXPLAIN HOW CAITLIN CLARK FITS INTO THE FINANCIAL AND BASKETBALL PLAN.**

Because right now, Stephanie White is giving Fever fans every reason to question the priorities of this organization.

**CAITLIN CLARK SHOULD BE THE FOUNDATION OF THE INDIANA FEVER’S FUTURE.**

**EVERY OTHER ROSTER DECISION SHOULD BE BUILT AROUND THAT REALITY.**

Stephanie White cannot be fired soon enough. The abuse Caitlin Clark takes in this league is like nothing we have ever seen. She is responsible for AT LEAST half of the viewership, and they all treat her like crap – including her train-wreck of a coach.
