It’s been mainly Democratic House members who’ve called on Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) to resign following his latest federal indictment on bribery and other charges, while most Democratic senators have stopped short of calling for his exit. Here’s a running count:

Democratic senators

John Fetterman (D-Pa.): “Senator Menendez should resign. He’s entitled to the presumption of innocence under our system, but he is not entitled to continue to wield influence over national policy, especially given the serious and specific nature of the allegations. I hope he chooses an honorable exit and focuses on his trial.”

Notably, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) has yet to weigh in on the charges facing his state’s senior senator.
