‘We Fund the Blue’ Brings Memorial Day Mission to Guantánamo Bay-Serving Those Who Stand Guard for America
This Memorial Day weekend, while most Americans gather with family and friends to honor the holiday, a group of patriots will travel to one of the most strategically important military installations in the world to stand alongside the men and women defending freedom on the front lines.
The We Fund The Blue Foundation will host a three-day Memorial Day celebration at Naval Station Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, honoring America’s fallen heroes while uplifting the brave service members currently serving our nation under increasingly difficult and uncertain global conditions.
At a time when tensions continue to rise in Cuba and across the world – including today’s reports surrounding Raúl Castro – the mission at Guantánamo Bay remains as critical as ever. The pressure placed on the military personnel stationed there is immense. This Memorial Day, the message is clear: America has not forgotten them.
The mission is simple: remember the fallen and stand with the living.
Throughout the weekend, thousands of active-duty service members and military families will be served Texas Wagyu brisket and sausage from Chef & Rancher, prepared by the incredible team from the Guy Fieri Foundation. These American patriots are volunteering their time and talents to feed the troops who sacrifice daily for our freedoms.

UFC Hall of Famer Tito “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Ortiz and current Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion Lorenzo “The Juggernaut” Hunt will also attend the event to spend time working with and supporting the troops throughout Memorial Day weekend.
The celebration will also feature live performances from country music artists Jordan Oaks and Tommy Lynn, bringing a powerful dose of patriotism and American spirit to the base.
The weekend will include performances by comedians Luis Diaz and Gerard Michaels, bringing much-needed laughter and morale to the troops and their families.
In addition, Jonathan Sessa and Warrior Golf Academy will host a golf tournament for service members featuring incredible prizes, including a $10,000 hole-in-one giveaway and a $15,000 luxury river cruise courtesy of Riviera Travel.
A fishing tournament will also take place, with prizes provided by Henry Repeating Arms, Kennedy International Logistics & Services, and BlackTipH, companies that proudly continue to support America’s military community.
Barbers Edge Barber Shop will provide free haircuts for both male and female service members throughout the weekend as a small token of appreciation for those who sacrifice so much for our country.
None of this would be possible without the tremendous support of sponsors, including Good Greek Moving & Storage, The Road Less Traveled LLC, DMG Global, Riviera Travel, Henry Repeating Arms, Kennedy International Logistics & Services, Warrior Golf Academy, and the many patriots stepping up to support this mission.
Under President Donald J. Trump, America once again embraced strength, patriotism, and unwavering support for the military. Events like this are about carrying that America First spirit forward – honoring the warriors who defend this nation and reminding them that millions of Americans stand firmly behind them.
At We Fund The Blue Foundation, the belief remains that freedom is not free. Memorial Day is not simply a holiday – it is a sacred reminder of the men and women who gave everything for the greatest nation on Earth.
This weekend at Guantánamo Bay, their sacrifice will be honored the American way: with patriotism, gratitude, fellowship, and unwavering support for the red, white, and blue.
God bless our troops.
God bless our fallen heroes.
And God bless the United States of America.
