DEVELOPING: 1 Confirmed Dead Following a Plane Crash Involving Two Planes in Arizona

Two airplanes collided at Marana Regional Airport, northwest of Tucson, Arizona, resulting in the death of at least one person, as confirmed by local authorities.
The Marana Police Department, in a statement posted on social media, described the incident as an “aircraft collision.” They confirmed that both aircraft involved were occupied at the time of the incident.
“The Marana Police Department is currently on-scene at the Marana Regional Airport located at 11700 W. Avra Valley Rd. in reference to an aircraft collision. There has been at least 1 confirmed deceased individual. Details are limited at this time. Media staging will be in the large dirt parking lot outside of the Marana Regional Airport. FAA and NTSB will be responding.”
As of now, the details are still emerging, and the exact cause of the crash remains unclear.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is expected to join local authorities in a thorough examination of the crash site.

This incident comes days after a pilot died and several people were injured when a small business jet crashed into a parked plane upon arriving at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona.
