Deputy PM Lammy Turns on Starmer, Reveals He Warned the Prime Minister Against Appointing Mandelson as US Ambassador Over Epstein Ties – UPDATE: Morgan McSweeney, Chief of Staff for Starmer, Resigns

Mandelson has a big Epstein problem – and Starmer has a big Mandelson problem.
Failing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer sees his situation worsening by the day as, now, even his cabinet ministers are starting to turn on him for his ill-advised decision to appoint Jeffrey Epstein’s friend, Lord Peter Mandelson, as US ambassador.
Justice Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister, David Lammy moves on Starmer, as people close to him tell the press that Lammy warned the PM against appointing Lord Mandelson as the ambassador to the US.
A funny take on it:
With the ‘DPM’ deciding to tell the Telegraph that he ‘warned Starmer about Mandelson’ before his appointment, a Labour source says:
“If Lammy’s political instincts are telling him it’s time to make his move, it can only mean that Keir is entirely safe.” pic.twitter.com/CO2iv86ChQ

The Telegraph reported:
“In a blow to Sir Keir Starmer, friends of the Deputy Prime Minister confirmed on Saturday night that he had not been in favor of bringing the “Prince of Darkness” back into government over his links to Jeffrey Epstein.
Mr. Lammy is the first Cabinet minister to break openly with the embattled Prime Minister, whose future hangs in the balance over the Mandelson scandal. Angela Rayner, the former deputy prime minister, told friends she too had been against Lord Mandelson’s appointment.”
Lammy, who was then foreign secretary, wanted to extend the term of Dame Karen Pierce as ambassador – and that was also the preference of Donald J. Trump’s team.
But watch Lammy praising Mandelson’s appointment:
So david Lammy has been paid by the telegraph to write another article this time he claims that he warned Starmer about Mandelson, totally false and heres the evidence proving he approved Mandelson
The @Telegraph should demand their money back!https://t.co/q293e8VupN pic.twitter.com/bHY595Rjbs
