Arizona US Senate Candidate Blake Masters DESTROYS Fake News “Weasel” After Disgusting Hit Piece: “YOU ARE A HACK”

US Senate Candidate Blake Masters

Far-left dark money nonprofit Arizona Mirror ran an extremely dishonest hit piece on US Senate Candidate Blake Masters incorrectly asserting that he opposes legal contraception such as condoms and birth control.

Blake Masters, campaigning for Senate in Arizona, is the only candidate who has been willing to speak out about the rigged 2020 election and the failures of Arizona’s elected officials who allowed this to happen, including his primary opponent RINO Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich and RINO Governor Doug Ducey.

The Gateway Pundit recently reported that President Trump called into a debate between Blake Masters and Mark Brnovich just to thank Masters and his supporters for showing up, unlike Mark Brnovich.

Because of this and many other reasons, the fake news in Arizona has its knives out for Blake Masters.

The “disreputable weasel” of a journalist even reached out to a fake email address 90 minutes before publishing the article Sunday “so that he could pretend to have asked for comment,” according to a statement released by Masters’ campaign.

Masters further slammed the reporter for “shamelessly attacking anyone to the right of AOC.”

The article falsely claims that Masters openly supports allowing states to “ban contraception use.”

The Arizona Mirror reported,

After the U.S. Supreme Court overturns women’s constitutional right to abortion this summer, one Arizona Republican candidate for U.S. Senate thinks judges should also take aim at the right to buy and use contraception.

But Masters never said this.

Blake Masters’ campaign website outlines his conservative pro-life agenda as follows.

I am 100% pro-life. Roe v. Wade was a horrible decision. It was wrong the day it was decided in 1973, it’s wrong today, and it must be reversed. But the fight doesn’t stop there. In the U.S. Senate I will:

  • Support the Hyde Amendment, ensuring that no taxpayer funds ever fund abortions

  • Strip funding from Planned Parenthood, all other abortionists, and any organization that promotes abortion

  • Remove funding for any research that uses embryonic stem cells or aborted fetal remains

  • Support a federal personhood law (ideally a Constitutional amendment) that recognizes that unborn babies are human beings that may not be killed

  • Support the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, the SAVE Moms and Babies Act, and other pro-life legislation

  • Vote only for federal judges who understand that Roe and Griswold and Casey were wrongly decided, and that there is no constitutional right to abortion

As a Catholic and a father of 3 beautiful boys, I know that life is sacred. The right to life is guaranteed by our founding documents, and we will fight to defend it.

According to thirteen.org,

In Griswold v. Connecticut (1965), the Supreme Court ruled that a state’s ban on the use of contraceptives violated the right to marital privacy. The case concerned a Connecticut law that criminalized the encouragement or use of birth control. The 1879 law provided that “any person who uses any drug, medicinal article or instrument for the purposes of preventing conception shall be fined not less than forty dollars or imprisoned not less than sixty days.” The law further provided that “any person who assists, abets, counsels, causes, hires or commands another to commit any offense may be prosecuted and punished as if he were the principle offender.”

Masters believes that this case was wrongly decided, but as a pro-life patriot, he “does not think contraceptives should be outlawed.”

His campaign manager, Amalia Halikias, told The Gateway Pundit why Blake Masters opposes SCOTUS’ reasoning on this case.

Halikias: Blake does not think contraceptives should be banned at any level, local state, or federal. But he criticized Griswold because the justices invented a new “constitutional right” to contraception that set a bad precedent and ultimately led to Roe v. Wade, a truly horrible and consequential decision. The Constitution does not mention contraception and so if the government wants to address it, that’s the job of the legislature.

Blake released a campaign advertisement late last year exposing the genocide in America and calling on SCOTUS to overturn Roe v. Wade. Now, after discovering that everyday Americans do not support abortion, the Democrats and liberal media allies are gaslighting and lying about Republicans who support the right to life.

Masters: There is a genocide happening in America. under Roe v. Wade, the federal government recognizes the right to kill babies. And so every year, hundreds of 1000s of young lives are destroyed. 30% of black babies are aborted in this country. We’re talking 20 million babies since 1973. We gotta get back to not killing babies. It starts with overturning Roe.

Halikias tweeted a statement by the campaign shortly after this incident, highlighting Blake’s response on Twitter and calling out the fake news hack!

Masters said on Twitter, “I would have said (and let’s see if you update your story and quote me): I am pro-life. And of course I don’t think contraceptives should be outlawed.”

Moments earlier, Masters bashed the unethical news media on Twitter and clarified that the statement on his website was not in disagreement with the decision made in this case but rather with how it was made.

Hey @DillonReedRose you are a hack. This piece wildly misrepresents my views, which was your goal. Time for a thread about journalistic ethics & the way reporters shamelessly attack anyone to the right of AOC.

Let’s be clear about this: you didn’t ask for comment. Not really. You wrote to the wrong email address for my campaign manager despite knowing her correct email (so we wouldn’t see it in time), and then published your hit piece 90 minutes later. You weasel.

Had you gone about this ethically — had you written to our real email address more than an hour before publishing — I would have said (and let’s see if you update your story and quote me): I am pro-life. And of course I don’t think contraceptives should be outlawed.

In Griswold, the justices wholesale *made up a constitutional right* to achieve a political outcome. I am opposed to judges making law. It’s the job of the legislative branch to create laws, not the courts. This is separation of powers 101.

Either this “reporter” does not understand how our legal system works (and so cannot separate the outcome of a case from the legal reasoning behind a decision) or he’s a fake news journalist with an axe to grind. My money’s on both, actually!

But hey, on the bright side: the media has realized that unlimited abortion on demand is a political loser for the Dems. So they’ve started doing what they do best: throwing ethics out the window, baselessly smearing Republicans, and calling it “fact checking”

They did this to President Trump, they did it to Justice Kavanaugh, they will do it to random cake bakers, they did it to Tucker last week, they’re doing it to me as a candidate, and you’re up next. This is why no one trusts the media anymore.

We need Republicans who won’t run scared when the corrupt media establishment tries to intimidate them. That’s why I’m running for US Senate, because the time for kowtowing to these people is over. We will fight and we will win. Blakemasters.com
