Here we go again. Tens of thousands of New Jeresey voters are duplicated or missing critical info. The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) found thousands of duplicate registered voters in New Jersey with very subtle name changes. Their report is here. Although most are duplicates and triplicates, they extend up to 6 times. Tahesha Way, the NJ Secretary of State was unwilling to explain or disclose documentation to PILF on how officials resolve duplicate registrations.

PILF had to file a lawsuit to get that most basic of information, their rules on handling duplicates. Again, it was a private organization that had to point out corrupt voter rolls, not election officials. Like many other States, NJ can be tricked into registering a person multiple times by slight changes to the bio data at an addresses. For instance, Jim Hoft could get 2 ballots by also registering as James Hoft.  A real example in the database is Julia Rose and Juila Rose. They are the same person with two registrations, and two unique Voter ID’s.

Two names stood out the most, the first name Christopher and Jaqueline. They were changed statewide to Christoph and Jaquelin indicating a recurring or systematic error. Mr. Adams at PILF said: “We can’t let New Jersey set a trend for concealing standard operating procedures for data entry and hygiene as if they were state secrets – especially when we are seeing persons registered three, four, five, and even six times.”

  • 33,572 do not have a valid DOB, or have an odd placeholders in that date field. Most issues are in Essex (24%) and Middlesex (17%) counties.
  • 8,239 voters registered multiple times (2x to 6x) at the same address.
  • 6,863 do not show the date they registered. 95% are in Middlesex County.
  • 2,398 voters are over 105 years old, with DOB listed as 1917 or before.
  • 906 have neither a DOB or the date they registered. Almost all are in Middlesex County.

One of the more unusual discoveries was evidence that credit for voting multiple times was assigned to some registrants for the 2020 General Election. Because SOS Tahesha won’t release any documentation, there’s no way to determine exactly what this means. It also appears she didn’t clean the voter rolls before this last election, their April Primaries.  It’s been over 6 months since 105 year old Patrick Depaola died. The Jersey Journal ran this obit last year and he’s still on the rolls.
