BREAKING TRAGEDY: 27-Yr-Old Son Of Supermodel Cindy Crawford and Randy Gerber Has Died

The 27-year-old model Presley Gerber, son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and her entrepreneur husband Rande Gerber, has died. Presley was one of the high-profile couple’s two children. Like their mother, both children were pursuing careers as models.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said he died Sunday at a rehab facility. The cause of death has not been released. TMZ first reported the death.

Last month, his sister, who is also a model, Kaia Gerber, 24, told Vogue that her brother’s drug use and mental health struggles had hit the whole family. “When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” she said.

Presley began modeling at 15 and appeared in campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein. He was arrested for driving under the influence in 2019. Last November, he said he was stepping back from social media to take care of his mental health.

A month later, he posted a video talking about his personal life.

In the video, Presley listed the drugs he said he was taking for night terrors and panic attacks.
“I feel like honesty is the best policy,” he said. He said he was on 1 milligram of buprenorphine — used for pain and opioid-use disorder — twice a day. He said his benzodiazepine doses had been “fluctuating up and down depending on what’s been going on in my life.”

“Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently,” he said. “So that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now.” He did not say what the loss was.”

He said he also took Xanax at night, or when his “panic attacks are really, really bad,” and mentioned Valium. He said he no longer knew how much he was taking: “Who f***ing knows anymore.”

Doctors, he said, “say a lot of different things so it’s kind of scary. But hopefully between my research and their research and the world and God, we can finally figure this out.”

Parade Magazine shared that Presley previously revealed his wish to help others during a February 2023 interview on the Studio 22 podcast, saying, “I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do.”

“That’s really what I want to do—help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment,” he explained at the time. “I’ve seen a lot of stuff, and I’ve learned a lot of things. What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made.”

A representative for Crawford said the family is asking for privacy.
