Far-left Rep. Ro Khanna speaks about his visit to the West Bank after an incident

Far-left California Congressman Ro Khanna, a man who consistently puts America-last policies forward, is throwing a massive temper tantrum after his little anti-Israel stunt blew up in his face.

Khanna allegedly tried to sneak into a restricted military zone in the West Bank without proper coordination to stage a woke, anti-Israel photo-op. But instead of getting his perfect headline, he was rightfully detained by Israeli authorities.

Instead of the heroic footage he wanted, “armed Israeli settlers” blocked the road to protect their communities amid relentless terrorist threats. When IDF soldiers arrived, they enforced the law.

Khanna claims they “sided with the settlers,” showed “arrogance,” and had “no respect” for the fact that an American congressman was present.

“I saw the arrogance in the eyes of those settlers, 21 and 22-year-olds with guns, laughing that they had detained us. The arrogance of those young IDF soldiers that my tax dollars are funding, having no respect for the fact that they were detaining Americans. No respect that there was an American congressperson in that bus and laughing when our translator told them, that there are Americans there and the American embassy is concerned. It is the arrogance of power, of a power that has had no accountability, total impunity, and has created a toxic culture of oppression.”

In a statement to Fox News, Khanna said, “If they will do this to an American congressman, imagine what is happening to Palestinian families who are just trying to live.”

“I am grateful to David Brownstein of the American embassy for helping rescue us. I expect Israel will prosecute the violent settlers and IDF soldiers who detained American citizens,” Rep. Khanna added.

Fortunately, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wasn’t about to let this left-wing propaganda campaign slide. During an interview on Sunday, NBC’s hack journalist Kristen Welker asked Netanyahu about his reaction.

“We’re a country of laws, and people who break the law, we take them to court. In the West Bank, in Judea and Samaria, we’ve had thousands, thousands of attempted attacks and warnings against terrorist activities against innocent Israelis, families, mothers with their children driving along the road. They’re stopped by terrorists and they kill them. And this has happened again and again and again.

There is a vigilante effort, not by the settler community. 99.9%, you know, law-abiding citizens. They work, they serve in the army and so on. There are 150 juvenile delinquents that are not part of that community. They come from the other parts of Israel. We are— I don’t want vigilantes of any kind, and we are working to put them under the law.

But I think if we put things in perspective, we should see that we have thousands of attacks and some few but obvious breaking of the law, then we apply the full measure of the law against them. Israel, unlike our neighbors, is a democracy and a country of law, and we act against those who break the law.”
