DEVELOPING: Israel Confirms Strikes on Iran After Tehran Launches Ballistic Missiles at Israel

The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed Sunday that it carried out strikes on targets inside Iran after the Iranian regime launched ballistic missiles toward Israel.
The IDF said the Israeli Air Force struck targets belonging to the Iranian regime in western and central Iran.
“A short while ago, the Israeli Air Force struck targets belonging to the Iranian terror regime in western and central Iran,” the IDF said in a statement, adding that additional details would follow.

Explosions were reported across multiple Iranian cities, including Tehran, Tabriz, and Isfahan, according to Iranian state media and reports cited by Reuters. Iran’s official broadcaster reported early Monday local time that explosions were heard in the capital and in other major cities.
The strikes came just hours after Iran fired ballistic missiles at Israel, marking another major escalation in the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Iranian regime.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Iran launched a new round of ballistic missile attacks against Israel, sending civilians across the country into protected spaces as Israeli air defenses worked to intercept the incoming fire.
Israel has repeatedly made clear that it will respond to direct attacks from Tehran, especially as Iran continues to operate through both direct missile strikes and its regional terror proxies.
The latest Israeli strikes appear to be part of that response.
The full extent of the damage inside Iran remains unclear, and the IDF has not yet released a detailed list of targets. However, the reported explosions in Tehran, Tabriz, and Isfahan suggest the strikes reached several key areas across the country.
Missile alerts have also sounded in Saudi Arabia. Launches were detected from Iran toward the Kingdom, likely ballistic missiles. Both projectiles were either intercepted or landed in open areas, with no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
This is a developing story. More information will be added as it becomes available.
