The mayor who presided over one of the worst race riots in U.S. history infuriated Americans across the country by deciding to honor the person centered on them instead of American veterans.

As TGP readers know, the city of Minneapolis nearly burned to the ground back in the Summer of 2020 following the death of a troubled individual named George Floyd. A video emerged showing the moment police officers, including Derek Chauvin, knelt on Floyd while he screamed: “I can’t breathe.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey sat around and did NOTHING to stop the torching of businesses and assaults on the police. But he did find time to cry at Floyd’s funeral.

On Memorial Day, Frey decided to reopen old wounds and issue this tone-deaf and despicable message paying tribute to Floyd instead of our military heroes.

“Today, we remember George Floyd, who was murdered by a former Minneapolis police officer six years ago,” he wrote on X.

“That moment changed our city forever.”

Frey then went full-on woke, bragging about how Minneapolis has changed in terms of race, policing, and other measures. Most would argue that the changes have been for the worse.

“It forced Minneapolis to confront painful truths about race, policing, inequity, and trust — and demanded hard conversations and accountability,” Frey said. “Since Floyd’s murder, our city has been challenged not just to say we’ve changed, but to prove it.”

Frey closed by claiming that the wounds from Floyd’s death remain after six years, and vowed to continue his ‘work’ in moving Minneapolis ‘forward.’

“The weight of what happened is still with our city six years later – and the responsibility to keep moving forward together is too,” Frey wrote. “I know we can keep building a Minneapolis that is safer, more accountable, and more worthy of the people who call it home.”

Social media users were livid over Frey’s repulsive tweet, which disrespected our veterans. They unleashed on the woke mayor in quite harsh terms.
