Mitt Romney Mourns Humiliating Defeat of ‘Brilliant and Creative’ RINO Senator Bill Cassidy

Failed presidential candidate and former Utah Senator Mitt Romney has mourned the humiliating defeat of his fellow RINO Senator Bill Cassidy.
Cassidy, who was one of seven Republican senators who voted to impeach President Trump in the wake of the January 6th protests, finished last in Friday’s Republican primary in Louisiana.
Posting on the X platform, Romney said that Cassidy’s ousting was a loss for America.
“The Senate to now lose an exceptionally brilliant and creative mind, an MD who chairs healthcare, and a person of character,” Romney wrote.
”Bill Cassidy’s departure is a loss for the country.”

Meanwhile, Trump celebrated Cassidy’s political downfall in a brutal Truth Social post.
“Bill Cassidy, after falsely using his ‘relationship’ with me during his political career, and winning Elections because of it, voted to impeach me on preposterous charges that were fake then, and now, are criminally insane!” Trump wrote.
“His disloyalty to the man who got him elected is now a part of legend, and it’s nice to see that his political career is OVER!”

Cassidy’s defeat came despite having the backing of Senate Majority Leader John Thune and the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
He used his concession speech to swipe at Trump and deny the election fraud that took place during the 2020 presidential election.
“When you participate in democracy, sometimes it doesn’t turn out the way you want it to. But you don’t pout. You don’t whine. You don’t claim the election was stolen.”
