Panicked Texts of Former Louisiana Mayor Allegedly Caught Having Sex with 16 Year Old at Pool Party Revealed in Court Docs

A 43-year-old former Mayor in a small Louisiana town who was allegedly caught by her own son, having sex with a 16-year-old boy, was reportedly exposed in court documents, frantically texting her family, friends, and others following the incident.

Misty Roberts, the former Mayor of DeRidder, Louisiana, allegedly said “yes” in a text message, obtained by the Daily Mail, when asked by the alleged victim’s mother, “Out of respect for both our families, can you assure me that you can’t be pregnant?”

Additional text messages, obtained by the outlet, show the mother pressing Robets on details of the incident, which is said to have occurred at a pool party at her home.

“So no protection? Are you on birth control, have you had tubal, hysterectomy??” the mother allegedly said. “Birth control. But, it also didn’t reach that point in those few minutes to have that concern. I understand the concern, but I can assure you of that,” Roberts responded, according to the documents.

A DoorDash driver alleged in testimony that he picked up an emergency contraception order for “Misty C” and left it on Roberts’, formerly Misty Clanton’s, front door.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported on Roberts’ arrest and rape charges in 2024 after she abruptly resigned from office.

“For nearly 15 years, my love and passion for DeRidder has been my foundation while serving as Mayor. I will forever be proud of what we have been able to accomplish – together,” DeRidder wrote in her resignation letter dated July 27, within days of the allegations coming to light.

Roberts has pleaded not guilty to a third-degree rape charge and is currently on trial.

At Roberts' ongoing trial, jurors were told a local DoorDash driver had delivered emergency Plan B contraception to her home in 2024 and believed it may have been connected to the alleged sex attack that happened there.

A criminal complaint seen by the Daily Mail alleges that Roberts 'pressed her butt up against (her alleged victim) while taking a photograph of him.'

'She made statements about being attracted to (the boy), she put her hand on the bare torso area of (the boy) while making said comments to him, she kissed (the boy) in the backyard/pool area, she told (the boy), "We can't do this here.'

The court papers allege Roberts then followed the boy into the 'bonus room' of her home, locked its doors, lay down on the couch with the boy and kissed him.

Court papers reportedly show a photograph of Roberts sitting on the teen on a couch and allege that she "exposed her breasts while kissing" the boy in a locked room.

Additional text messages to her ex-husband, Duncan Clanton, allegedly show her telling him, "I need to talk to you," and "I just need to tell you in person." She continued, according to the documents, "I f***** up. And I respect you enough to tell you. And I need to."

She also texted an unidentified juvenile, "I love you and I am so sorry. I cannot even believe it. I am sick. That shouldn't happen," according to the court documents reviewed by the Daily Mail.

The alleged texts continue, "I really hope this doesn't blow up even worse. I'm scared to death. Please make sure he doesn't say anything please. I am truly sorry."

Responses from both the juvenile and Roberts' ex-husband were not in the court documents.

The outlet also reports that Jurors were shown an interview where Roberts' son told police that he saw her having sex with his friend through a crack in a window, and her daughter also said she saw her mother and the teen "on top of each other."

Roberts is currently facing the charges after previous charges were dismissed and refiled, according to the outlet.
